On behalf of Beacon Mutual, I am excited to announce the promotion of Jeff Chuey to the role of Enterprise Business Development. Jeff will be working alongside Todd Dalessio to drive new business and retention initiatives in collaboration with our underwriting team and partner agents. Together, Todd and Jeff will partner with agents to develop and execute strategic business initiatives. They will also collaborate with other teams at Beacon including Claims, Loss Prevention, and Marketing, to enhance Beacon's overall value proposition in the region.
This is a crucial role, especially at this time when we are deepening our agency relationships and expanding our business in a highly competitive workers' compensation market. To support our growth aspirations across Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island, we have added a second Business Development Role, which will enable us to engage with agents more efficiently and effectively.
Jeff's journey at Beacon began in 2004 as a Claim Adjuster and he quickly progressed to become an Underwriting Assistant in 2007. Since then, he has consistently advanced in his career, becoming a Senior Underwriter and honing his technical and business development skills. Jeff has demonstrated exceptional ability in engaging with our agents and positioning Beacon for success. His notable achievements include building strong relationships and generating business with our newer, emerging agents in MA. I am confident that Todd and Jeff will work seamlessly together in advancing our growth aspirations in RI, MA, and CT. I am thrilled to see Jeff taking on this new role and I am excited about the accomplishments that Beacon will achieve in the coming years with our expanded network of agents.
In the upcoming weeks, Jeff, Todd, and I will be working on transitioning underwriting assignments. If you are currently working with Jeff on a day-to-day basis, rest assured that the transition will be smooth and there will be no delay in our business response.
