That's why Beacon was proud to sponsor the SouthCoast Community's Choice Awards for the third consecutive year. Held on August 18, the annual event brought together members of the SouthCoast community to recognize local favorites across a wide range of industries and categories. From small businesses and nonprofits to restaurants, healthcare providers, and service professionals, the evening highlighted the people and organizations that help make the region a great place to live and work. At Beacon, supporting local communities is more than a commitment. It's part of who we are. During the awards program, The Beacon Foundation presented a $3,000 donation to [Community Connections Inc.](https://communityconnectionsinc.org/), a nonprofit dedicated to empowering people with disabilities through employment, day services, community engagement, and family support programs. "We're honored to support organizations that create opportunities and improve lives throughout our communities," said Amy Vitale, President of Beacon Mutual. "We're also proud to celebrate the dreamers, builders, and risk-takers who make the SouthCoast such a vibrant place to live and work. Community Connections is making a lasting difference for individuals and families across the region, and we're proud to support their important work."
