One way Beacon chose to commemorate this special occasion is through the "*30th Anniversary Charity of Choice*" employee giving program. Each Beacon employee was given the opportunity to select one charity from a list of 30 local charities approved by [The Beacon Foundation](https://www.beaconmutual.com/the-beacon-foundation/) to receive a $100 donation.  Over $16,000 was donated to deserving RI organizations that align with Beacon's core values: Commit to Care, Do the Right Thing, Explore Possible, Embrace Inclusion, Be Remarkable or Impact Our Community. We are so pleased to be able to make these donations on the behalf of our employees which should go a long way to support the good work of local charities in our community. We are not just an insurance company – we are a company with heart ”. At Beacon, we're committed to working together to support non-profit organizations that make the Ocean State a better place to live, work, and play! That's why we started The Beacon Foundation, a charitable foundation, started in 2020.
